Codex, Score and Mastery

What it is

Open Pet Codex to track discoveries and Pet Score to collect milestone rewards. Mastery records a Mythic pet reaching the level ceiling.

Codex discovery survives the loss of current ownership because it remembers the species you discovered. Score uses the pets you own now, including their current highest rarity and max-level bonuses. Mastery records ownership progress only. It does not grant a permanent combat-stat bonus. These distinctions matter before withdrawing, recycling or upgrading a pet.

Quick facts

  • Common: 1 points per species.
  • Uncommon: 2 points per species.

  • Legendary: 8 points per species.
  • Mythic: 12 points per species.
  • Bonus per maximum-level pet: 1 points.

How to start

Open Pet Hub > Pet Codex or /pets codex to browse discovered and hidden pets. The header shows discovered count and completion percentage. Use its page arrows for the species list. Discoveries are recorded when you obtain a hatched pet or redeem a physical pet item through the normal acquisition paths.

Open Pet Hub > Pet Score or /pets score to see collection score and available milestone rewards. The score menu lists rewards that your current score has unlocked and you have not collected previously. Click an available milestone to collect it. Reaching a threshold does not make that same reward repeatable every time your score crosses it again.

Steps

  1. Open Pet Codex and compare discovered species with the pets you currently own.
  2. Open Your Pets and identify duplicates of the same pet species.
  3. Read the highest rarity for each distinct species, then add max-level bonuses for eligible pet instances.
  4. Open Pet Score and collect any available milestone reward.
  5. Train a Mythic pet to 100 to meet its mastery requirement.
  6. Inspect Pet Details > Mastery Record to check whether mastery was recorded.

What can go wrong

A milestone cannot be collected if your current score is below its threshold, its reward no longer exists or you already collected it. Repeating the click does not create another reward. Read the displayed score and the available milestone entries again after collection changes.

A pet below the maximum level or below Mythic does not qualify for mastery. An already recorded mastery is not a new unlock. A blank or loading Codex display can reflect species loading rather than an empty personal history. Allow the menu to finish loading or reopen it. Buying another copy of an owned species does not automatically add another rarity score contribution.

Worked example

Use your Pebble Whelp for this example.

Suppose you own Common and Rare copies of the same species. Their rarity contribution is 3 points, because only the highest owned rarity of that species counts. A separate Common species contributes 1 more. Add those values to calculate the distinct-species part.

If both duplicate pets reach 100, each receives the 1-point max-level contribution. Duplicate species therefore share the rarity contribution but can each contribute the max-level bonus. This is why the score can rise when another duplicate reaches the level ceiling even though Codex completion does not change.

More to know

Codex completion divides discovered species by the current total species and caps its displayed percentage at full completion. It does not count every rarity of the same species as another discovery. Pet Score likewise groups the rarity portion by species identity rather than nickname, gender or cosmetic skin.

Withdrawing a pet removes that pet from current collection ownership and can reduce score until it is redeemed again. Recycling can also reduce current score permanently. An earlier collected milestone does not become collectible again after such a reduction. Codex discovery and an already recorded mastery are separate from the current-score calculation.

Mastery is checked through level progression when an eligible pet reaches the requirement. The recorded passive information is not applied as a permanent stat bonus. Do not plan a build around old descriptions of mastery wisdom or other always-on stats. Pet Details explicitly describes the record and its lack of passive stat bonus.

Your questions

Do duplicate pets add rarity points twice?

No. The highest owned rarity per species supplies its rarity contribution.

Can max-level duplicates each add points?

Yes. Each max-level individual pet receives the available max-level bonus.

Does withdrawing erase discovery?

No. Codex discovery is remembered separately from current ownership.

Why did my score fall?

You removed a counted pet, lost the highest owned rarity for a species, or reduced eligible max-level ownership.

Does mastery grant permanent stats?

No. It records the achievement without applying a passive stat bonus.

Can I collect a score reward again after dropping below it?

No. Each milestone reward is collected once.

Score milestone rewards

The score milestones are 10 / 25 / 50 points. Open Pet Score and collect an available milestone reward. Each milestone pays once. The listed rewards are 10 points: collector title / 25 points: 5 diamond / 50 points: beastlord title.

Milestone thresholds: 10 / 25 / 50 points. Rewards: 10 points: collector title / 25 points: 5 diamond / 50 points: beastlord title.
